Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo Mock up on display

Now on display in the Science Museum in central London is a mock-up cabin of the Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo. The display will give the public a glimpse into what space tourists for the project will experience until February 23rd.

The space ship, which is about the same size as an executive jet, will carry six passengers and two pilots. There are windows in the floor and also on the ceiling so travelers will have truly amazing views.

The trip itself will cost £100,000 per traveler and will last for around two hours, of which just four or five minutes will be in zero gravity.

So far 200 people have signed up and paid their deposits and they could be seeing space in as early as 2009
