Bay to direct Prince of Persia
Michael Bay director of films such as Bad Boys 1 and 2, The Rock and Pearl Harbor, is reported to be taking on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time after finishing the Transformers movie.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is a film based on a popular video game and it will be made with longtime producing partner Jerry Bruckheimer. The film will take elements from the video game and not keep strictly to the video game’s storyline.
The video game’s storyline follows an adventurous prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world.
Persia is eyeing a summer 2009 release date.
