The Black Widow appeared frequently as both an Avengers member and a freelance agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. In the upcoming movie she will play a member of both under the direction of Nick Fury. In the canon Marvel universe Natalia was out to seduce Tony Stark due to his defense cotracts. Failing that, she fell in love with Hawkeye and pitted him against Iron Man. However it seems that in the Movie Universe, The Black Widow may have long surpassed her evil past and may get a new backstory into her entry to S.H.I.E.L.D – we have already seen that she isn’t interested in Tony Stark other than under orders from Nick Fury. Whether she is in love with Hawkeye in the Movie Universe is yet to be seen.
Amazingly, Scaarlett with her dyed hair looks astoundingly like the sexy comic version of the superheroine, and I for one am glad that they chose her to reprise the role. I hope to see more of her in the Avengers Movie, but in the meantime enjoy her greatest shots in Iron Man 2.
